Rx Mometamax^® Otic Suspension for Dogs

Mometamax Otic Suspension is used to treat inflammation and bacterial and fungal infections of the canine otitis externa (ear). Each gram contains gentamicin sulfate, USP equivalent to 3 mg gentamicin base; mometasone furoate monohydrate equivalent to 1 mg mometasone; and 10 mg clotrimazole, USP in a mineral oil-based system containing a plasticized hydrocarbon gel. Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, which kills bacteria. Mometasone is a potent corticosteroid that relieves inflammation. Clotrimazole is an effective antifungal agent that is effective against yeast. The external ear canal should be thoroughly cleaned and dried before treatment.
