The shorter shanks on the Curb bit create a faster response with less leverage as compared to a longer shank curb. The Curb Bit shanks measure 5 cm long, and the mouthpiece 12 mm thick. The Bradoon has a slightly thicker 14 mm mouthpiece, and the Stainless Steel Rings measure 55 mm. As is the proper way to fit a double bit set, The Bradoon is slightly wider than the Curb Bit for the most comfortable combination. German silver with stainless steel cheeks.
